Managing the Carbon Reduction Commitment Scheme

If your organisation qualifies for the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Energy Efficiency Scheme, you're likely to be facing a lot of new challenges with your energy management. The additional administrative burden may be a drain on your time and resources - but it can also present opportunities to reduce your energy consumption and spend.

How does CRC Manager work?

It's simple: CRC Manager will do all the legwork required to help fulfil your organisation's CRC compliance across every aspect: preparation, compliance and optimisation.

1. CRC Impact Report - an assessment to highlight your exposure to the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme

2. Registration - for Phase 2 is between April to September 2013

3. Annual Compliance - working with you to help ensure full compliance for each CRC year

4. Carbon Reductions - provision of the full range of Energy360 services to support you in planning and implementing carbon reductions

What CRC Manager do for you

  • Assess your UK organisational structure and half hourly metered electricity consumption to determine if you qualify for CRC
  • Ensure all your emissions are captured for your Footprint and Annual Reports
  • Establish your financial exposure to the scheme
  • Monitor your carbon emissions throughout the year
  • Collect and record all your emissions data in an Evidence Pack
  • Forecast annual carbon emissions (electricity, gas and other fuels used on your sites)
  • Plan and implement your carbon emission reduction strategy
  • Provide support to help you achieve early action metrics
  • Install SMART meters to enable you to effectively track your emissions
  • Help you avoid unnecessary penalties (such as those that would apply if you fail to register or keep accurate data)

Footprint & Annual Report:

Footprint reports are to be compiled once per phase, Annual reports are to be compiled once per year.

You will have between the 1st April 2011 and 29th July, 2011 to compile and submit your Footprint as well as your Annual report. At Energy360, we're working with a host of customers ranging from large private equity firms to NHS trusts to help them meet their CRC obligations.
