Types of alternative heating
Air Source Heat Pumps
How it works
Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) work in a similar manner to household refrigerators but in reverse. They absorb latent heat via a refrigerant from the outside air and transfer it via a compressor to the inside of the property. This heat can either be transferred into heating water, for radiators or general use, or distributed via a dispersing unit into the air to heat the property.
