There are several different ways that you can control and monitor your Safe & Secure system. As well as using your Keyfob to arm/disarm your intruder alarm by clicking it when you leave or return home, you can also use your secure website or smartphone App to control your home and see its status/history logs whenever you need to.

SMS Commands

Use the following simple remote commands followed by your personal identification number or PIN (the examples below use 1234) to interact remotely with your home using email or text messages. You can control and monitor your home via text message on your mobile phone or by using email. Have your personal identification number (PIN) handy.

The number to text is +44 7537414000 and the email address to send your remote commands to is remote@myhome.britishgas.co.uk. Please make sure you save this address and number.

• Status 1234 will let you know the current status of the system.
• Arm 1234 will arm the system to away mode for you.
• Night 1234 will arm the system to night mode.
• Disarm 1234 will disarm the system.
• Log 1234 will provide you with the last entry from history log.
• Help 1234 will provide you with some guidance on the commands.
