How do I change my Safe & Secure username?

Please call the British Gas Customer Services on 0800 980 8593.

How do I change my Safe & Secure password?

The password which is used on your account is stored in the my details part of the site; you can change this if required.

  1. To access this you must go to 'Account' in the top right of your dashboard menu bar.
  2. Then click on the tab which says 'My Details'.
  3. You must then click 'Edit security details' on the bottom left of your page.
  4. To change your password, you just need to enter your new password into the field called 'password'.
  5. Then repeat the same password on the field underneath.

Once you have done this, just click OK and your password will have been changed.

If you have forgotten your password, please contact Customer Support on 0800 980 8593, who will be able to resend your password to your email account.

What do I do if I can't remember my Safe & Secure password?

You can reset your password using the forgotten password function on the myhome.britishgas.co.uk login page.

What do I do if I can't remember my Safe & Secure username and password?

Our system would have automatically created an account for you upon purchasing.

This will be your email address and a random password that would have been generated - these will have been emailed to you with confirmation of your purchase.

If you can't find these details, please contact Customer Support on 0800 980 8593, who will be able to resend your password to your email account.

How do I update my Safe & Secure delivery and billing address?

How do I change the primary user of my Safe & Secure system?

You can contact us using the following methods:

What happens to my Safe & Secure system when I move home?

Your system is completely portable so you can take it with you when you move home. The devices are positioned around your home using strong sticky strips which are easily removed.
