Scottish Gas is proud to serve as Scotland's leading energy and home services provider. We employ around 3,500 staff throughout the country, with most based at our Edinburgh headquarters and Uddingston customer service centres.

Our customers also benefit from the safety and reassurance that comes from having over 800 highly skilled engineers. Our helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Supporting our communities

From our award winning 'here to HELP' programme (a partnership with 6 major charities including RNIB Scotland and Capability Scotland), to offering 140,000 low income Scottish households our Essentials tariff, we continue to make significant progress in tackling fuel poverty in our communities.

In our role as managing agent for the Scottish Government Central Heating and Warm Deal Programmes we help to tackle fuel poverty by delivering the benefits of efficient heating to the homes of vulnerable people. No wonder we are proud to be Scotland's 'local' energy supplier .

As a responsible energy supplier, we aim to contribute to the creation of a sustainable, low-carbon future while ensuring long term security of energy supplies for our customers.

For the third year running the electricity we supply has the lowest carbon emissions of any major supplier in Great Britain*. We're investing over £750m in renewable projects over 5 years. We have invested in six wind farm sites around Britain including the Glens of Foudland and Braes of Dounne.
