Over the next five years, our parent company Centrica plans to invest a total of £750 million in sustainable energy.

We plan to invest £1.5 billion in wind farms over 5 years. We have invested in 6 wind farm sites around Britain - one of which will be the world's largest offshore wind farm project when completed at the end of 2008.

At the same time, Centrica is testing and looking at ways of using alternative fuels for our electricity power stations such as biofuels.

Centrica’s involvement goes beyond generation, too. Centrica is investigating a range of microgeneration technologies and pioneering the development of micro CHP for small scale and domestic applications.
