This summer our British Swimming Teams have inspired thousands of people across the UK to get into the pool.
With this in mind, British Gas has launched the Super Swimmer Challenge, a competition designed to see whether the public has what it takes to live the lifestyle of an elite swimmer. Can they handle the training, the coaching, the strict diet regime, the media attention and the pressure of competition?
The challenge itself comprises of twenty simple tasks, which are spread over five consecutive days (four tasks per day). Players complete each task by logging on to the Super Swimmer Challenge Facebook app and ticking off the latest task in their training diary.
As a reward for their commitment, an exclusive piece of video content will be unlocked for every task completed, featuring tips, guidance and encouragement from the likes of Rebecca Adlington, Keri-anne Payne and Steve Parry.
The more tasks a player completes, the more chances they have to win, with prizes ranging from gadgets such as iPads, Kodak Playsport video cameras and Speedo underwater mp3 players through to the grand prize of a day with Rebecca!
The British Gas Super Swimmer Challenge runs from 29 August to 12 October 2012 and players can start their challenge at any point during the six-week period.
