What’s my meter serial number and where can I find it?

It’s shown on your meter and also appears on the back of your bill. It’s sometimes referred to as the meter ID number.

Meter serial numbers identify your meter so we can charge you correctly for your energy use.

If the meter serial number on your meter doesn’t match the number on your bill, you may not be paying the correct amount for your energy supply. Please call us on 0333 220 9637, Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, Sat 9am-1pm.

What’s my Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN) and where can I find it?

The Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN) is used to identify individual electricity supply points. It’s usually a 21-digit number with the letter ‘S’ at the beginning. It’s also sometimes known as the meter supply number.

You’ll find your MPAN on your electricity bill under the ‘Details of charges’ heading.

The Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) is used to identify individual gas supply points.
