The Switching Process
Step 1
Successful application
Day 1
- We'll begin to process your application to switch your gas supply
Step 2
Supply switch & set-up
Month up to transfer
- We contact the transporter who owns or operates the gas pipeline to your property. We advise them we're taking over your commercial gas supply
- The transporter notifies your existing supplier that you are switching your gas supply to British Gas Business
- A meter reading is taken on (or close to) the date of transfer
Step 3
Transfer day
Day 21
- Your gas supply is switched over
Step 4
Successful connection
Day 22
- Your site will now be on supply
- You can now enjoy the benefits of your new business energy supply. Your first bill will be sent out as agreed in your contract terms
