Green Lane, Leeds
Green Lane, Leeds, has been chosen as it met the two vital criteria we were looking for. To highlight the cause we decided the word "Green" should be in the street name and most importantly, the people in the street needed to be ready to take on the Green Streets Challenge!
Your energy expert
Hi, I'm Alan Pickard, Energy Expert for Leeds. 27 years with British Gas working across central heating service & installation, technical sales advice and training support. We take our green commitment very seriously and have worked hard internally as a company to reduce energy use in our own offices by over 20%, we've capped emissions on our company car fleet and continue to coach our employees on greater energy efficiency at work.
Your green ambassador
Hi, I am Kevin Pilgrim, Green Ambassador for Leeds. I have worked with British Gas for 8 years. I am Green Ambassador for our British Gas call centre in Leeds.I work on the Green Streets Project & also help to improve our recycling targets at our office. I am concerned about the pollution within the environment; having children myself I want to play a part in promoting energy efficiency and changing people's behaviours to reduce our carbon footprint.
