Council Tax Rebate Scheme

We are committed to working with local authorities to help residents save energy and money as well as helping the environment by improving home energy efficiency. One of the ways we are doing this is through the Council Tax Rebate scheme .

Each household who invests in home insulation from British Gas under this scheme will receive a rebate or cash back of up to £125 from their local authority¹ and could see energy savings of around £115³ a year on your energy bills with cavity wall and £150³ with loft insulation.

So far we are working with 47 local councils

British Gas offers extremely competitive retail prices, a smooth installation process along with proven high levels of customer satisfaction.

What does the household get?
Private households who purchase home insulation through British Gas in this scheme will receive:

• Up to £125 Council Tax Rebate or Cash back¹
• £115³ a year on your energy bills with cavity wall and around £150³ with loft insulation.
