All you need to do is register your details with us online to get started with our online billing. Make sure you have your email address and your British Gas account details to hand to complete the quick 4 step sign up. You will then receive an email which will prompt you to click a link to take you back to our website. This is just to verify that we have your correct email address and it will kick off our process to give you a fully functional online billing account.
Once you have set up your account, it will take about 6 weeks for the paperless billing to start working fully and so in that time you will receive 1 more paper bill in the post but you can check the progress on line until your full account is active.

By having an online billing account, there is no need to change the way you pay your bills unless you want to. Whether you pay by direct debit or by cheque, you can continue as you wish, but through paperless billing you have the option to pay online for your gas and/or electricity with your credit or debit card.
