  • Your telephone number and email address.
  • Your bank account details if you want to pay by Direct Debit.

What happens next?

Weeks 1-2

We’ll confirm that you want to switch

We’ll write to tell you everything you need to know. We'll also contact your old supplier about your switch.
Weeks 3-4

We'll tell you when your energy will start to come from us

We'll let you know your start date.(Make sure you’re up to date with paying bills to your old supplier or this might be delayed).
Weeks 5-6

You’ll give us your opening meter reading

To make sure you only pay for the energy you use, please provide us with your your opening meter reading, online or by phone.

If you have a pay-as-you-go meter, we’ll send you a free meter key or card which you’ll need to activate when we start supplying your energy.
Weeks 7-8

We'll start supplying your energy

We'll write to let you know as soon as we start supplying your energy. We'll set you up with an online account and provide you with an account number to use whenever you get in touch with us.

[1] £170 comprises: savings of £50 against our Standard tariff prices for Online Energy customers (who receive a 4% discount on their unit rates below our Standard tariff prices); and savings of up to £120 by reducing consumption by 12% (by using the EnergySmart online consumption hub and electricity monitor). Savings are versus a customer with average annual consumption of 16,500 kWh for gas and 3,300 kWh for single rate electricity, paying by Monthly Direct Debit on our Standard tariff prices as at 12th January 2012.
