If you, or someone you know, needs help this winter, we have a range of support available

Money back on your bills

The Warm Home Discount Scheme is a 5 year programme introduced by the Government in April 2011. It’s administered by energy suppliers to provide rebates on the electricity bills of  households that need it most in England, Scotland and Wales.

The scheme offers eligible customers a one-off rebate on their electricity bill each year. This winter the rebate will be £135 but we’ll be offering our qualifying customers an extra £20 off their electricity bill and £40 off their gas. This can take the total rebate for some customers to £195.

Free or part funded insulation

The Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) is the Government target given to all large energy providers to reduce carbon emissions by improving the energy efficiency of homes in Britain.

Depending on who you are, where you live or the type of property you live in, you could be eligible for free[1] or part funded cavity or loft insulation.

It’s proven to reduce heat loss so less energy is used to heat your home, which will help save up to £180 a year[2] with loft insulation and up to £140 a year[2] with cavity wall insulation.

Energy savings for your home

The Green Deal is a new, government-backed initiative which helps make energy saving improvements to your home without having to pay all the costs in advance.

You pay back the cost of the improvements over time through your electricity bill and the energy savings after you’ve made the improvements should cover the repayment.
