British Gas engineer GPS trackerTo save you waiting by the front door all day, we’re rolling out our engineer tracking. Usually our engineers will either give you a ring, or send you a text to let you know when they’ve finished their current job and you’re up next on the list – this is generally around 15 to 20 minutes before they arrive. But sometimes traffic can slow them down and if they’re on the move there’s no way of getting in touch. Now with the introduction of the engineer tracker, we’ll send you a text with an attached link so you can see, in real time how far away they are.

HomeCare One

HomeCare One

HomeCare One is our basic level of service and covers your boiler and its controls should they break down. After taking out HomeCare One, we will carry out an initial in-home visit to ensure that we can meet your needs and also carry out your first service visit. If we cannot cover your boiler, our engineer will let you know straight away and we’ll refund any payments already made (if we’ve carried out any work, you’ll have to pay cancellation charges).

HomeCare Two

HomeCare Two

HomeCare Two covers your boiler, its controls and your central heating system - radiators and hot water cylinder. This means that we will cover the cost of any future repairs to your system if you experience any issues. We will also inspect your central heating system in your annual service visit*.

HomeCare Three

HomeCare Three

In addition to HomeCare One and Two, HomeCare Three offers cover for your plumbing and drains. So, whether you have a burst pipe or a blocked drain there’s cover.

HomeCare Four

HomeCare Four

HomeCare Four is the highest level of cover that we offer. This not only includes your boiler and its controls, your central heating, plumbing and drains but also ensures that your home electrics are protected. This includes your electrical wiring, fuse boards and electrical fittings inside and outside your property.

What is an annual service visit?

An annual service visit* is a service we offer as part of our HomeCare range. This means that you can book in one of our engineers to come and make sure your boiler is working as it should. Depending on your level of cover, this may also cover your central heating system.


^Some exclusions may apply
* Your annual service visits may be more than 12 months apart
