British Gas raises £1m for Shelter and helps 30,303 families

Our 5 year strategic partnership with Shelter to improve standards in privately rented homes, has seen our employees raise over £1m since September 2012.

£1 million has enabled Shelter to help 30,303 families to find and keep a home.

Give a homeless child the greatest gift of all

This Christmas, a shocking 100,000 children will be homeless. That’s the equivalent of four children from each school in the country.

This means more and more children will be living in hostels or B&Bs – often sharing one cramped room with their whole family, miles from their school and friends. And every year, more families are made homeless.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.  Shelter help millions of people every year struggling with bad housing and homelessness, and this year they really need your help.

Once again we are supporting Shelter’s Christmas fundraising campaign. To donate or find out more please visit http://england.shelter.org.uk/britishgas
