A: This is a common question our expert installers often get asked. In most cases, planning permission is not required as you can install most units under permitted development rights. If the proposed work is going to alter or extend your premises, planning permission may be required to install air conditioning in your commercial premises.
What is commercial air conditioning?
A: The main difference between commercial and residential air conditioning units is the amount of power that’s needed. Typically, business premises are larger than homes and therefore businesses will often require multiple units.

New installations include up to a 7 year manufacturer's warranty on parts specified in the manufacturer's terms and conditions. The manufacturer's warranty offer is subject to the units being serviced and maintained to the manufacturers recommendations for the entire duration of the warranty period. If an alternative company other than British Gas is appointed to carry out the maintenance and/or servicing of the units then the responsibility for the warranty passes to them, as we cannot be responsible for work carried out by others. Please note that failure to maintain the system to manufacturers recommendations will result in the warranty becoming null and void.
