What's included in an air conditioning service
All air conditioning systems should have a major service completed at least once a year to ensure they are clean, efficient and working correctly. It is a legal requirement for air conditioning systems containing an F Gas quantity equivalent over 5 CO2 (tonnes) to have a leak check and service to ensure compliance with F Gas Regulations.
What our 'major aircon service' includes:
We check general performance in heating and cooling
We check and clean indoor and outdoor units
We check air filters/plasma pads
We check all coil, fins, fans, compressors and motor operations
We check and flash condensate drain and tray
We check electrical connections are sound
We check condensate pumps and sensor/float/tube
We test for refrigerant and oil leaks
We ensure unit is compliant with F Gas Regulations
Factors to your air conditioning service price
To help us provide an accurate quote for your air con service, here's a few things we'll need to know:
Number of units
The number of air con units you have on site will impact the price of a service contract. This includes indoor air con units on walls or ceilings and the outdoor units, usually installed on an outside wall or floor on the side of the building, or on the roof
We'll also need to know if any of your air con units are above 3 meters high. If so we may need to use special equipment to access them, and two HVAC engineers to complete the service for health and safety reasons
The accessibility of your air con units may impact the price and or our ability to complete a service. For example, if your outdoor units are covered by overgrown plants we can’t service the unit until the plants are removed and we can access it. Or, if your air con unit is above a shop on a public high street, we may need to cordon off the area to keep everyone safe
One of our engineers will call you before attending your service visit, but if you're not sure on any of the above, you can provide photos of your air con units so we can determine the correct price of your service

What's the signs my air conditioning need servicing or repairing
Most air conditioning units need servicing at least one a year, to keep them running efficiently. Where air con has been installed in essential locations, such as server rooms, shop floors, hairdressers or beauty salons you may want to consider more regular servicing. Here's some common signs that could mean your units need servicing:
You may have noticed that your air conditioning unit isn’t performing as well as it used to. This could be because it hasn’t been serviced, or there could be a more serious underlying issue.
Leaking water is a common sign that your air conditioning unit is in need of a repair. A leak causes a drop in performance until eventually no hot or cold air will be produced.
If there are bad smells coming from your air conditioning unit, it’s a sign that you need to get your unit serviced. It may just be a dirty or clogged air filter, but we’ll make sure we fix it for you.
