Does your heat pump use glycol?

Unfortunately, we don’t cover heat pumps containing glycol – an anti-freeze that’s sometimes added to protect against colder weather.

Why does it matter?

It’s harder to maintain glycol and needs regular checks. We can’t cover heat pumps with glycol, but we can service them.

How quickly will an engineer take to arrive if I need a repair?

It depends on the seriousness of the issue. When you book, we’ll find out what the problem is and prioritise your repair according to the following three categories:

Emergency: if there’s no heating or hot water and this creates a medical risk for someone living in the property, we aim to get an engineer to you within two working days.

Priority: if you have no heating or hot water – or if you have a containable leak that’s not damaging your property – we aim to get an engineer to you within four working days.

Standard: this covers all other faults (e.g. dripping radiator). We aim to get you an engineer within seven working days.

Please note, working days are Monday to Friday. They don’t include weekends or public holidays in the part of the UK where you live.
