Why are you changing my charger?

We’ve noticed some customers have started having problems with the Easee Home EV charge point. While there are no safety issues with the charge points, some customers haven’t been able to charge their vehicle or use the full set of features.

We want to provide a high-quality experience for all our customers, so we’ve decided to upgrade you to our premium charge point, the Alfen Eve Single Pro-line.

Is it going to cost me more?

No – although the Alfen Eve Single Pro-line charge point is more expensive and retails at a higher price, we will not charge you more.

Is the Alfen Eve Single Pro-line better?

The Alfen Eve Single Pro-line is a very high-quality charge point. It’s a fast 7.4 kW smart charger with a built-in 3.5-inch colour display that guides you through the charging process.

Who is Alfen?

Alfen is based in the Netherlands and has been manufacturing charge points since 2008. They’re one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of smart charger points for electric vehicles.

If I’m still waiting to have my charge point installed, will my install date change?

Your schedule will go as planned, but we’ll install the Alfen Eve Single Pro-line instead.

If my charge point has already been installed, when will it be upgraded?

We’ll be in touch soon to arrange an installation date that suits you.

What app will work with the Alfen Eve Single Pro-line charge point?

The Hive EV Charging app and the Centrica Fleet Charging app will work with the Alfen Eve Single Pro-line charge point.

What if I don’t want to change my charge point?

We are installing the Alfen Eve Single Pro-Line charge point to ensure you have a positive experience when charging your EV. We’ve had some issues with the Easee Home EV charge point, and we don’t want this to impact your charging experience.

If you don’t want to upgrade, then you can simply cancel your order by contacting us on 0333 202 1054, and we'll refund your deposit.

The Alfen Eve Single Pro-line charge point is only available in white.

Can I still receive my OZEV discount?

The Alfen Eve Pro-line charge point is eligible for the Office of Zero Emissions Vehicles (OZEV) Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) grant. If you meet the eligibility, you will get the OZEV funding.
