Air source heat pumpsAbout your property

We need some information about your home to make sure a heat pump is right for you.

You'll need a minimum 2m x 1m space available to locate the air source heat pump, and it needs to be placed at least 2m from any boundary.
A hot water cylinder is a storage tank that is used to provide hot water to your taps and shower. You'll often find it in the airing cupboard in your house.

Cavity walls have a small gap or ‘cavity’ between them. Cavity wall insulation works by filling the gap with material that stops heat transfer.

Solid walls have no gap. They can be insulated by placing an insulation layer on either the inside or outside of the wall, creating a thermal barrier between the inside of your home and the outside world.

Insulation is fitted above the ceiling of your home's top floor, usually placed over and between the joists. Up to a quarter of heat can be lost through the roof of an uninsulated home
