- The engineer came to repair my washing machine because the bearings had worn. He spent about 2 hours putting in a new drum, and an electrician joined him. When he had finished, the engineer told me to watch the first wash. I asked him if he was expecting any problems! He said, "No." When I put on a wash in the evening, three quarters of the way through, there was a sudden sound and the machine stopped working. I phoned the following morning and was told there was a 3 day wait until an engineer could come out. I was not happy with this and sent a letter of complaint. The lady from customer relations was very good and followed up the engineer until be came back 3 days later. It was found that the fan belt had come off. The engineer and a more senior one put it back, and my machine has been fine since.
