Do I need a smart meter?
Yes, you need a smart meter so we can see exactly how much electricity you’re using and work out how much to credit you back.

Frequently asked questions
When will I receive my PeakSave credits?
After each event, we’ll credit half of what you spent back to your account. Your Saturday credits will show as 'Samsung Saturdays' on your next bill or online statement. Your Sunday credits will be added separately as ‘PeakSave’. They’re normally applied within two weeks of each event ending.
Do I need to switch my gas and electricity?
You’ll need to have electricity with British Gas to benefit from the half-price electricity discount.

How will I get the savings?
Once you’ve signed up to the Samsung Weekend Saver Fix tariff, you don’t need to do anything to take part - we’ll automatically sign you up to PeakSave and include you in every Saturday and Sunday event. You can use as much half-price electricity as you need from 11am to 4pm.1 Your smart meter will tell us how much you used, and we'll work out your credit.
Why have I not received my account credit?
It can take us up to 10 days to complete all our checks to make sure you're eligible and everything’s ready. We'll let you know when you’re all signed up.
Will my Direct Debit change?
When you choose our Samsung Weekend Saver Fix tariff, you’ll select your monthly Direct Debit amount. The PeakSave credits won’t have any impact on your monthly payments.
If I change tariff, will I still get the Samsung Saturday credit?
When you join our Samsung Weekend Saver Fix tariff, we’ll automatically sign you up to PeakSave. If you decide to choose another tariff, you’ll continue to get half-price electricity on a Sunday 11am – 4pm, but you’ll no longer get the additional half-price electricity on a Saturday 11am – 4pm.
Can I sign up for the tariff if I have a prepayment meter?
This fixed tariff is only available to customers who pay by credit (monthly or quarterly bills). If you have a prepayment meter, you’ll stay on our Standard Variable tariff.
What is SmartThings?
It’s an app, so you can link your energy account and PeakSave events to selected Samsung appliances. It’s all at your fingertips, through your Apple or Android smartphone or tablet. Find out more about SmartThings.
What is PeakSave?
PeakSave rewards customers for shifting their electricity usage to times when there’s less demand, or more renewable electricity available on the grid, supporting a greener energy supply. No matter what tariff you're on, you can sign up for PeakSave. And by joining, you get half-price electricity1 on PeakSave Sundays and with our PeakSave Green Flex events too. With our exclusive Samsung Weekend Saver Fix tariff, we’re giving you half-price electricity on Saturdays, 11am – 4pm, as well as our usual Sundays.
What if I’m already a PeakSaver?
That’s great! All you need to do is switch to our Samsung Weekend Saver Fix tariff and we’ll automatically add on half-price electricity on Saturdays, 11am – 4pm, as well as your Sundays. We’ll let you know when it’s all sorted.
Additional information
The half-price electricity event will run from 11am to 4pm. Standing charge will not be discounted.
