What does my loved one need in order for this to work in their home?

You'll need a broadband connection with a spare Ethernet port for the Hive Hub to plug into. Your British Gas engineer will guide you on every step of the way including where to place each Hive device.

How long does the Hive Link Installation take?

The set up process should take no longer than 90 minutes. It is recommended that both you and your loved one are there, to help you both get the most from the service.

Is Hive Link secure?

Hive have strict measures in place to protect the personal information of both you and your loved one. View the Hive privacy policy.

Who will install Hive Link?

Our trusted, expert British Gas engineers will install Hive Link in your loved one's home. There may be occasions where we also look to one of our certified partners to install Hive Link, but you'll still get the same custom personalisation.

What does my loved one need to do?

Nothing. The only think we ask of them, is to give their consent for Hive Link to be set up in their home before the installation takes place.
