British Gas signs up with the WSL ahead of the 2025/26 season

We’re delighted to announce that British Gas and Women’s Super League Football have signed on the dotted line just in time for the new season. This new multi-year deal will mean that we’ll be joining the team as an official energy partner ahead of the 2025/26 season, bringing our strong history of supporting communities through sports partnerships to the Barclays Women’s Super League (BWSL) and Barclays Women’s Super League 2 (BWSL2).  

For the growing WSL fan community, we'll be launching a host of new rewards including access to tickets, signed merchandise and money can't buy experiences.

We are proud to sponsor the BWSL during this exciting and pivotal time in women’s football. Through this partnership we will be energising women’s football fans, supporting communities and rewarding our customers with thousands of tickets and experiences. We also support the BWSL’s ambition to use the power of women’s football to create a more equitable society as we continue encouraging more women to consider careers in engineering. We’re recruiting a new apprentice every day until 2030 and we want 50% of them to be female.

Partnering with British Gas marks another exciting step forward for WSL Football. This collaboration is rooted in a shared ambition to elevate the women’s game, build communities and provide sustainable solutions within football, whilst also reimagining what the matchday experience can be. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected future for women’s football.
