Top up £5 to £99
If you’re a Smart prepayment customer, logging into your online account is the fastest and easiest way to top up. You don’t need your smart card number, and if you save your debit or credit card, future top ups are even quicker.

By phone

Top up £1 to £49
Or give us a call using our automated payment line.

Top up in store

Top up £1 to £99
Find your nearest Payzone or Post Office. Don’t forget you’ll need to load at least £1, and you'll always need to top up to the nearest pound, up to a maximum of £99 each time.

Limits

Your meter can hold up to £3,000 of credit.

Topping up for the first time?

Insert your key into your meter for at least a minute before you top up so it knows which meter it belongs to.

Top up in store

Top up £1 to £99
Find your nearest Payzone or Post Office. Don’t forget you’ll need to load at least £1, and you'll always need to top up to the nearest pound, up to a maximum of £99 each time.

Did you know that our Smart meters allow you to top up from anywhere when you use our app or go online. You can even top up over the phone on our automated top up line and don't need to go to a Payzone or Post Office or use a key or card.

Limits

Your meter can hold up to £255.99 of credit at a time.

Your key can hold up to £255 of credit at a time, so although each top up can only be for a maximum of £99, you can top up multiple times before going back to insert in your meter.

Please note: if there's not enough room on your meter for the top ups on your key, it will all stay on your key until there's room for it on your meter.

If it doesn't look like your top up is on your key, check your receipts for the last top ups and make sure it's for less than the difference between your meter balance and the total on your key.

If you've got too much, just wait until your meter balance drops to make space.

Topping up for the first time?

Insert your card into your meter for at least a minute before you top up so it knows which meter it belongs to. After you've topped up you'll need to press and hold the red 'A' button to move your top up to the meter.
