Hive Active Heating wins at the Customer Experience Awards

Presented at a ceremony in London’s ExCel Centre last night, Hive Active Heating won both the ‘Best New Product’ and ‘Best Customer Experience – Technology and Telecoms’ categories.

Now in their fifth year, the UK Customer Experience Awards are the biggest celebration of excellence in customer service. Hive beat off tough competition from the likes of Barclays Pingit and RBS in order to scoop the awards – which come as Hive approaches the milestone moment of being installed in its 100,000th home.

Kassir Hussain, Director of Connected Homes, British Gas, said: “With Hive Active Heating now in almost 100,000 British homes, more and more people are using our technology to make their lives easier. But it doesn’t end when a customer purchases the product – it’s about the whole experience. Via our feedback forum and regular customer workshops, we listen to consumers every day to learn what they want next, so we’re not just delivering dozens of new features which people won’t use, we’re providing services we know they want. A great example of this is the optional geolocation feature – and there’s even more in the pipeline.
