How does Flex Advantage work?
Access the Flex Advantage Purchasing Portal
You can see daily market prices and make strategic choices about your energy on our online portal.
Also you can add multiple authorised2users.
Self-serve and purchase volume
Easily carry out purchasing activities and fix up to 100% of the volume at the daily market price (in multiples of 20%, or up to 5 times per monthly block) all on the portal. This allows you to purchase blocks in advance. Any volume that's not fixed will float on the day-ahead price.

Receive energy market news to help you make informed purchasing decisions twice every weekday.
Simplify your billing
Your bill will consist of a unit rate, standing charge and commodity cost. The commodity cost will be itemised separately based on the transacted volume purchased through the portal. As with all our fixed contracts, there's no penalty for under or over consumption.

Yes. Due to daily fluctuations in the energy market, we can't guarantee the lowest prices. However, Flex Advantage offers options to help you plan and mitigate your exposure to wholesale energy market risks.
Can I set up multiple users on the online platform?
Our online self-serve portal allows you to add multiple authorised2users. You can view your portfolio demand forecast, check market prices, and complete all purchases in one place.
What are the benefits of flexible energy contracts?

1 We offer Zero Carbon Electricity for Business Fixed Price Plans. Backed by Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin and nuclear declarations. Helping to deliver on the UK's climate commitment and supporting our aim to help our customers achieve Net Zero by 2050.
2 Access to the online Purchasing Portal will be granted to both customers and brokers acting on behalf of their customers. Once authorised the users are fully responsible and liable for all transaction activities.
3 100% Renewable Electricity: Every unit of electricity British Gas supply to you during your contract will be matched to electricity from a natural renewable energy source and we will hold the necessary number of Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin(REGOs) as evidence of this supply. British Gas will use reasonable endeavours to purchase enough REGOs to match 100% of the electricity you use on this tariff. However, failure to provide you with REGOs, in whole or in part, will not constitute a breach of contract by British Gas or give rise to you having the right to terminate the supply contract and, in such circumstances, British Gas reserves the right to provide the balance of your electricity supply with its Zero Carbon product. In the event something changes, and British Gas can no longer guarantee any of your supply being provided via REGOs we will write and let you know. Excludes the British Gas Lite product and non-contracted customers.
