Why the change?
We’re introducing a new look online account for British Gas Lite customers. You'll see some changes in the design. But don't worry - your account, data, and access remain the same. These updates aim to help you find what you need more easily, with a cleaner and simple design.
If you have a British Gas business account and a Lite account, you’ll now be able to view all your accounts in one single account portal - making it simpler to manage everything in one place.
This also means our support teams can assist you more quickly and efficiently.
What will Lite customers see?
A fresh, simpler interface
We have redesigned your account to make things quicker and easier.
1. A new login experience
When you sign in, you'll see a refreshed design and layout, but you'll still log into the same account you use today.
Your login details remain unchanged, and once you're signed in, you'll have access to all your existing accounts as before.
What's new:

- Consistent login across all British Gas accounts
2. Your accounts - easier to find, easier to view
The page showing your list of accounts has a new look. You'll see a streamlined table that's easier to read and navigate.
Although the layout has changed, all your accounts and key details are still intact. Some features may look different or be temporarily unavailable, but we're continuously adding enhancements to bring everything you need into one place.

- Mobile-friendly layout for quicker access
3. A more helpful dashboard
Once you open an account, you'll see a brand-new dashboard that shows everything you need in one place, from energy usage and recent bills to helpful insights like local weather.
Our goal is to make managing your energy easier, faster, and more transparent. If you can't find a section you used before, don't worry - we're working to bring those features across soon.

4. Bills - cleaner view, quicker actions
The new Bills section offers a simpler, more responsive layout.
You can still view and download all your previous bills, and now there's a clear 'Pay bill' button right above your list for faster payments.

- Simplified design for a smoother experience
5. Submitting meter readings - smarter and more informative
We've enhanced the Submit a Meter Reading page with clearer instructions and more context.
You'll now see your site address, previous readings, and a more intuitive input area, all designed to make the process faster and more accurate.
What's new:
- See your previous reading for reference
- Cleaner layout and improved widgets
Can't find certain features?
Some features may look a little different or might not have been fully moved over yet. We're still working hard to bring everything together for a consistent experience across all British Gas services.
If something feels unfamiliar or is missing, don't worry - it's on its way.
Looking ahead
Lite customers will have access to both portals for a short time. Some features may start to disappear from the former Lite portal as we start to move features across.
Rest assured, in the long term all Lite customers will be moved to our classic portal where all features will be made available for everyone.
This is part of a broader effort to prepare for future enhancements. It lays the groundwork for a more flexible, reliable digital platform for our customers.
