I signed up for PeakSave for Business but haven't heard anything yet. What’s going on?

PeakSave for Business is currently available to selected customers based on their meter and contract.

Why have I received more than one PeakSave for Business registration emails?

If you have multiple meters linked across different accounts, you may receive more than one registration email.

Although we try to group meters together to make registration quicker, our billing system and security checks don’t always allow this. Each email will contain a different set of meters, so you’ll need to register using each invite to make sure everything is included.

Smart meters and data

How will you know how much electricity I use during PeakSave for Business events?

We’ll keep track of how much you use through your smart meters half hourly data during the 5 hours event on any Wednesday during the Promotion Period, and we will credit your account with half of what you spend (up to a maximum credit of £100 per opted in smart meter, per event).

You’ll be able to see how much electricity you use each Wednesday by signing up to Energy360 DataView.

What if there are problems with my smart meter?

We’ll use average consumption during the five hours, based on available smart meter data from other PeakSavers, multiplied by your tariff unit rate to calculate your credit.

Rewards and credit

How will you calculate my PeakSave for Business credit?

You’ll be charged for the electricity you use as normal, then after the last event we’ll credit half of what you spent (up to a maximum credit of £100 per smart meter, per event) back to your account and the payment will show up as “PeakSave for Business” on your next bill or online statement. We’ll also send a PeakSave for Business event summary, once the events are over – so you can see how much you’re saved in total.

You’ll pay your daily standing charge at your normal rate. This will not be discounted.

The amount you earn will depend on your unit rate and how much electricity you use during the events.

When can I expect to see the credits on my bill?

We aim to apply your PeakSave for Business credits to your account within 4 weeks of the promotion period end date, however occasionally it may take a little bit longer.

What if I can't actively change my usage during PeakSave for Business times to take full advantage?

There’s no need to contact us if you can’t actively take part in PeakSave for Business. Any electricity you use during the events will still be half-price, and there’s no penalty if you can’t make changes to your usual Wednesday routine.

If the smart meter data we receive shows that you have not consumed anything during the 5-hour session you will not receive a credit for that Event Day.

Tariffs and billing

Will taking part in PeakSave for Business change my tariff or prices?

No, PeakSave for Business won’t change anything about your energy tariff or the prices you pay.

You’ll be charged for the electricity you use during the events at your normal rate. We will then half the cost of the electricity used within that period, up to the maximum credit value of £100 per opted in smart meter, per event.
